Independent new build inspections before and after completion, with clear reports that help you take the next step.
A pre-completion inspection (PCI) is an independent check of a newly built home before you complete your purchase. It follows the NHQB checklist and gives you an opportunity to raise identified defects with your developer before handover.
As RPSA members, we can carry out this type of inspection and provide a clear, photo-supported report, normally within 24-48 hours.
A PCI follows a set scope. More extensive checks, including thermal imaging and damp testing, can be considered after you own the property.
Once you have the keys, we can take a more comprehensive look at your home. Our post-completion surveys review accessible areas from top to bottom, identifying cosmetic and functional defects that may need your builder's attention.
You'll receive a detailed, easy-to-follow report with photographs, normally within 24-48 hours of your inspection, ready to share with your developer.
Additional checks can help you understand more about your property after completion and keep track of issues as your new home settles.
